Hello everyone,
since the results of the March poll gave a fair division between Cyber Security and Detectives & Murder Mysteries, and since the current worldwide situation for Covid-19, I think it might be helpful if I published some things from watch while in quarantine.
From midnight yesterday it is forbidden to leave that house except for reasons of necessity and to carry out primary tasks such as shopping for example. It is completely forbidden to leave the radius of 2 km from your accommodations. At times like these we have to stay strong and it is important to keep busy, as far as possible, of course. In these days of absence I have prepared a collection of material to watch. Obviously, they are all about crime and investigations (I don’t like cyber security lol)
So first of all, I created a small Netflix parenthesis. Now, many have a Netflix account in 2020 (1).. me in primis.. so why not.
For Netflix Ireland The best movies to watch now:
- Agatha Christie’s Crooked House
- Agatha and the truth of Murder
- The private life of Sherlock Holmes
Unfortunately, the good films of this genre on Netflix are few, but to tell the truth there are many series instead. Here are some that may interest you:
- Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries
- Sherlock
- The Bletchley Circle
- Marvel’s Jessica Jones
These are all my favourites and I have been able to watch them all more than once. Most of them are set in the first half of the twentieth century except for Jessica Jones who is set in the present day and Sherlock. Sherlock is really interesting; The film is set in the late nineteenth century, while the BBC series is set to the present day.
Obviously for all the others who are not Netflix fans there are a lot of contents to watch on the internet and I thought to put them together for you!
Almost for granted could not forget about Poirot! In addition there are all the TV series that I used to watch at home when I was younger and that are hardly broadcast on TV:
- Hercule Poirot episodes on Dailymotion
- Murder she wrote episodes on Dailymotion

- Magnum P.I. on Dailymotion

- Inspector Rex on Dailymotion
Dailymotion.com is an excellent site that offers all the episodes of almost all the seasons of these TV series and many others! Ah and it’s free …
Note on Inspector Rex … it’s in German with English subtitles .. nice anyway! These are all series on crime and investigations. While Murder She Wrote and Inspector Rex are set in the second half of the 20th century/late nineties, Magnum P.I. it’s more in our days and Poirot well, you know!
It is essential to maintain mental health in times like these so do what you like during this time at home and think of it as an opportunity to do those things that you can never do because of lack of time, like cleaning your room for example !!
Nor should we forget that a portion of you still go to uni and therefore (unfortunately) still has assignments and exams that stand on the way of absolute laziness! </ 3
It is therefore important not to let go and try to keep your habits as much as possible, like waking up early every morning, having a nice shower, breakfast and then .. a little study … a break .. lunch .. back to study … a break … a lil bit more study … a break … healthy snack? .. go to the window and breathe some fresh air .. do some yoga (or whatever)… come back in .. movie time !!!
(something to look forward to!)
Please stay well and safe,

-Carmen xx
